Camping in Volcano, Big Island, HI

Stolen from my TripAdvisor review …

We enjoyed Volcano Village Lodge for 3 nights in September.   We chuckled as our Garmin GPS told us to turn on “Roady” (Road E) just before reaching the somewhat remote location.  Upon arrival we were intrigued by the beautifully landscaped gardens and the spacious Hale Manaluna accommodations.

A Fireplace […]

Our Wonderfully Boring Stay at Hilton Waikoloa, Big Island, HI

Stolen from my TripAdvisor review …

We colonized one enchanting room at the Hilton Waikoloa an incredible four nights and cherished every minute.  A main objective of our stay was to locate and embrace as much boredom as possible, forgetting about the excruciatingly busy real lives we left behind.  The hotel and grounds are beautiful throughout.  […]

Day 5 – Too Much Sunblock

Adventures in Saint Martin – April 2007

I jumped out of bed at 5:30, well before sunrise. I grabbed the camera and made my way down to the newly identified sunrise photo spot … the Coco Beach rocks. I could tell the sunrise was going to be divine. I began snapping photos when I could tell […]
